Most Nålbinders I’ve come across are from the re-enactment sphere. I deeply respect their passion and commitment to keeping Viking-age and Medieval techniques alive in the modern day. I’m sure I will add spinning, dying, and other heritage crafts to my fiber arts repertoire. For now, I am interested in exploring how an endangered heritage craft like nålbinindg can be made relevant in our daily life and modern context.
